Congratulations! You’ve found the easiest, ready to use score keeping application. Ready in seconds. Take your smartphone or tablet, start the application from this site. After each race you enter the finish order and view the rankings.
It’s FREE for hobby radiosailing and other sailing competitions with more heats for one class. Have fun!
De web app is created as webpage. That’s why it runs in every browser on smartphone, tablet or computer.
From this webpage the English versie is started.
Select menu option [Nederlands] to use the Dutch-version. The text can be translated in another language with Google Translate.
No install needed.
Try now? Open Sailingscores (web)
The Sailingscores app will run in your browser and the data will be stored.
After you have entered or select a name for your event, you can fill in the list of competitors. You may also go directly to the heats to enter the finish order.
If there are a lot of competitors, you can make starting lists with smaller groups or qualifying races with four groups ABCD as preliminary heats for Gold-Silver races.
Starting lists and rankings can be printed to share with the competitors.
The number and name of the competitors are stored in an archive, so that the name is automatically filled in later after a (sailing) number has been entered.
A competitors list is not required! This is beneficial for training, because you can immediately start entering the finish order. The list of competitors may still be completed afterwards.
Shortcuts with (sailing) numbers are always shown if there is a competitor list. If there is not (yet) a list of competitors, the shortcuts can only be displayed after the first race has been entered.
Behind the (sail) number in the heat column a penalty can be added such as an o or d (ocs / dsq).
A competitor who has not started will automatically become a ‘dnf’, just as someone who has not finished or is disqualified. The number of points for a ‘dnf’ is equal to the number of competitors plus the number of penalty points (usually 1 point).
The ranking is made according to the low score system, where the points awarded correspond to the finish order. The number of excluded races can be set in the settings. You will find more information in the app.
Do you have planned a clubtraining and you don’t know who are coming? It doesn’t matter. With SAILING SCORES you can edit the maximum competitors en heats during the race. Those who didn’t start or finish a heat, gets automatically ‘dnf’ in the ranking. The sailing numbers and names of previous events have been archived, so that a name will be automatically entered in the future with a known sailing number.
1. Start SAILING SCORES
2. Add a new event (+)
3. Edit and accept the event name.
4. Go to Heats, tap on column head Heat1.
5. Go entering the sailnumbers of finishing boats.
You can fill in the names of competitors later, when you’re using the program for the first time. Names of competitors in the archief are filled in automatically.
First fill in the competitors list after you choose the event name.
If there are to many competitors to start together, you have to decide to start in smaller groups or make selection groups for Gold and Silver races.
In both cases you need to make start lists, so the competitors know when to start or take a break.
After you’ve select ‘Max.group size’ you can select the number of competitors per start.
The start list will be made and is shown by a tap at the document icon.
Each competitor has one of more times a mandatory break (or is/shall assist the supervisor).
Of course the number of heats needed are more than the number of heats per competitor.
An extra option (only in the webapp) is the possibility to time a race.
